Today's Minor Irritation

Shad and I took a little excursion to a neighboring city that happens to have a Sam's Club this afternoon. It was raining when we arrived and, of course, there were no open parking spaces within about 1/4 mile of the store. We parked and were walking briskly into the store, clearly in the pedestrian right of way, when some jack*ss driving a Mercedes with personalized license plates ("Habeb 98" or something close to that) darn near ran us over. Like, swerved between us and the doors (and we couldn't have been more that 12 feet from the front door at that time) going probably 15-20 mph. Yes Habeb, it's clear that whatever you had just purchased at Sam's was so temperature sensitive that waiting even those 2.5 seconds that it would have taken us to enter the store would have ruined your entire purchase. I was so tempted to show Habeb my two little birdies, but there were three kids in the backseat of the car. I guess if Habeb wasn't going to be a good role model for them it was up to me, right?

More later.
